hey! the UIC MFA critiqeus are open to the public, so come if you want to see some art and witness/participate in some awesome discussion tuesday is at the south side community art center 3831 S. This year Version Festival is working and playing primarily on the south side of Chicago to stage our events, make public art, and interact with our communities. We open the festival with a Dis_orientation night featuring programs in Hyde Park and Bridgeport. Enjoy a south side dinner, check out a group exhibition and see an awesome installation by Paul Lloyd Sargent. Also please enjoy the release of the (Con)Temporary Art Guide Chicago which features a printed program to the festival.

You can only get this hot little buddy at Version events.. 

 

After 10pm  head to Kaplan's Liquors (960 w 31st st) or Sonotheque (1444 W Chicago ave) for some after opening action.

 Today is a great day.

Hey! It's approaching the end of April already!

Let's settle a date for people to meet:
-Rine mentioned April 26th
-Beth mentioned April 24th or May 17th
-I'm personally swamped for the next week and a half. If everyone
could meet on this upcoming Sunday-cool-I'll somehow get there!!

*I would be game for something in May? Say May 10th
or May 17th?

Version Fest begins this week!

This is a forwarded message from Lumpen-- Art group in Chicago.  *(if you haven't heard of them).

I don't know much about Lumpen.  I recall Version Fest last year and didn't check out anything...so this year (this week, starting Friday), I hope to check out a couple venues for festivities. 

The version website below has a schedule of the various art events during the Version Fest.

If people are down, I'm down to meet up.--I'm pretty sure I'm going to check out some stuff on Friday and possibly Sunday!  Otherwise, have a swell week!
